Slow it down, shut it down.
I believe that there’s nothing more powerful than a willing mind. I’m an amateur at art, writing, photography, even filmmaking. I’ve never been trained in any of these fields, oh goodness even my current career in Digital is something I stumbled upon.
I really shouldn’t be trying too hard to introduce myself here. Or anywhere, I guess.
I’ll just be me.
Three of the best choices in my life: studying Sociology, applying to the University of Cambridge, and to love my family with all my heart. The best experiences in my life are that which have opened my eyes to the world; its intricacies, its form, its thought, its art.
When I travel to a new city, I look not for the things I can do there, but I breathe it all in and feel the soul of this new pocket of existence that has previously never had a place in my mind. Its breath intoxicates, and very often it all fades into a wisp – a presence absorbed into my being…
But with a tinge of disappointment, I do admit that I do not devour cities. Like one of those shows from my childhood, a giant, grotesque presence towering over a city – holding off on its destruction, and true to the script, obediently awaiting today’s hero to descend from the sky – on me – in a fit of fury and a sea of fire.
In the end I’m just a man, sitting here in a cavern of a home, writing so that my voice does not fade off into the oblivion that would one day take us all. I’ve noticed, however, that words often are the ones who die the quickest. You could call this a rescue mission of sorts, but perhaps unlike the shows, the day might not be saved after all.
It’s been a pleasure. Really. If you managed to get this far. I do hope you enjoy the words I’ve twirled around my existence.
